Hi,

I have a iphone 3g with os 3.1.2 and I just wanted to know a few things. I'm gonna be giving this iphone to my sister when i upgrade to the 3gs but she is on a network which won't work on this iphone. so i need to unlock it, i have access to both windows and mac and wanted to know which is the best way to unlock and if i do it now will i lose all my apps which are currently installed?

p.s. does anyone know if when i do upgrade will my apps be carried over to the 3gs?
